Welcome to the Whippet Health Foundation Database!

This collection of information is one of the most important projects the Whippet Health Foundation has undertaken to support Whippet health. We believe fully in the open sharing of information to promote healthy breeding practices world wide. We hope that you will find our database useful through the many different types of information it contains. This has been provided through a web based application so at anytime, anyone, anywhere can view the database. It was a big project that cost a moderate amount of money and a lot of time and effort on the part of a few people but we feel it is well worth the price if it can help Whippets, owners and breeders. Our Data Operators are volunteers that receive your data submissions and enter the information into the WHF Database. You can submit your dog or litter data via the forms available on this web site or by contacting one of our Operators directly. Currently we are utilizing three operators who work hard to insure that the data is entered accurately and completely. Health and Certification information is verified to insure the integrity of the database. While your submissions are not entered "instantly", we strive our best to be as timely as possible. Our hope is that seeing the database in its entirety, you will be compelled to not only update, but to correct and add information that is missing. Only with complete data can we provide the information necessary for researchers to adequately study our beloved Whippet and their genetic diseases and health issues.
